If you are unfortunate enough to have a problem with a lock / part or service provided to you by Lock-M-Out Locksmiths, the following warranties and warranty claim processes will apply -

Locksmithing and Auto Locksmithing

The following products and services have a (12) month warranty from the original invoice date. Only (1) Warranty period applies per paid product or service:

New Locks
New Auto Locks/Parts
New Genuine Factory Car Keys
Non-Remote Transponder Keys
Workmanship

The following products and services have a (6) month warranty from the original invoice date. Only (1) Warranty period applies per paid product or service:

Lock Repairs
Lock Rekeys
Non-Genuine Remote Car Keys and Fobs
Auto Lock Repairs for Cars Under 10 Years Old (3-month warranty applies for cars over 10 years old)

Prowler Proof Product Warranty

Australia’s best warranty, we are so confident with our quality that we back all Prowler Proof products with a (10) year replacement warranty. You will quite simply get a new door or window mesh if it shows defects in workmanship or materials on the frame or mesh of the product.

Accessory items such as locks, handles, lock cylinders, hinges and rollers are covered by a (12) month replacement warranty.

Warranty Limitations

As your Prowler Proof product is intended for residential use, this warranty covers normal residential use only. Damage caused by the following events are therefore not covered:

Improper use or use other than for residential purposes
Deliberate Damage
Alterations or repairs not made by us
Neglect
Forced or attempted forced entry
Events outside of our control such as fire, flood, earthquake, or natural calamity, motor vehicle or other accident, strike, civil unrest, terrorism or war

Warranty Exclusions

Lock-M-Out Locksmiths warranties does not apply to:

Products or services effected by fair wear and tear
Misuse or intentional damage to a product, either by accident or neglect
Exposure to corrosives, vapours, chemicals, abrasive compounds, contamination, pollution, coastal air, salt spray or high humidity
Lock alignment issues (Due to door frame movement or ground movement)
Personal injury, property damage or economic loss, however caused will not be covered under any warranties
Lockwood or Austral door closers are not covered by warranty
Forced entry or attempted forced entry

Australian Consumer Law Requirements

Lock-M-Out Locksmiths provide (12) and (6) month warranty on their locks/parts or services. These warranties are in addition to other rights and remedies you may have under a law in relation to the goods to which the warranty relates. Our locks/parts or services come with warranty that cannot be excluded under the Australian consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Online Claims for Prowler Proof need to be made via their Online Claim Form.

Lock-M-Out Locksmiths will then asses your claim and organise to repair or replace locks/products or services as soon as possible. Any repairs or replacement products not authorised by Lock-M-Out Locksmiths will not be covered under warranty.

Lock-M-Out Locksmiths must be given the first opportunity to rectify the warranty claim. If this is not the case all warranties on the locks/parts or services are null and void.
